AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT

Category:

The RX 9070 XT is the “modern performance” leader in AMD’s current lineup. It is designed to dominate 4K gaming and high-refresh 1440p. While it has less VRAM than the older 7900 XT (16GB vs 20GB), its newer architecture makes it significantly more efficient and much faster in Ray Tracing. In traditional “raster” gaming, it performs roughly on par with the RX 7900 XTX but uses far less power.

Main Features
RDNA 4 “Navi 48” Architecture: Built on a refined 4nm process, it features massive clock speed gains, with boost frequencies pushing near 3.0 GHz out of the box.

3rd-Gen Ray Tracing: This is the 9070 XT’s greatest strength. It is up to 50% faster in Ray Tracing tasks compared to the previous generation, finally making “Path Tracing” viable on AMD hardware.

FSR 4 (AI-Powered): Unlike previous FSR versions, FSR 4 uses the card’s 128 AI Accelerators to perform machine-learning upscaling, resulting in image quality that rivals NVIDIA’s DLSS.

16GB GDDR6 Memory: While some enthusiasts miss the 20GB/24GB of the 7900 series, 16GB remains plenty for 4K gaming in 2025, especially with the high speed of the 256-bit bus.

PCIe 5.0 x16 Support: The first high-end AMD card to fully utilize PCIe 5.0, ensuring it won’t be bottlenecked by future CPU/Motherboard combos.

DisplayPort 2.1a: Ready for the latest 4K 480Hz and 8K 165Hz displays.
