The RX 7600 is the successor to the popular RX 6600. While it keeps the 8GB of VRAM, it moves to the newer 6nm RDNA 3 process. It is about 25–30% faster than the original RX 6600 and roughly matches the performance of the older RX 6650 XT, but with much better efficiency and modern video encoding.
Main Features
RDNA 3 Architecture: Features the first GPU with dedicated AI Accelerators and 2nd-generation Ray Tracing cores, improving performance in modern workloads.
8GB GDDR6 Memory: Optimized for 1080p gaming; provides smooth performance at “Ultra” settings in most modern titles.
AV1 Encoding Support: A major upgrade for streamers and creators. This card can encode high-quality video using the modern AV1 codec, which is more efficient than older formats.
AMD Radiance Display™ Engine: Supports DisplayPort 2.1, allowing for future-proof connectivity to high-refresh-rate 4K and 8K monitors.
FSR 3 & Frame Generation: Fully supports AMD’s latest AI-driven upscaling and frame generation, which can significantly boost FPS in demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077.
Smart Access Memory (SAM): Unlocks more performance when paired with an AMD Ryzen CPU by giving the processor full access to the GPU memory.
Compact Design: Most models are very small (dual-fan), making them perfect for mini-ITX or budget-friendly compact PC builds.
